TOGGL3 TV — Community Tournament Terms

These Community Tournament Terms apply when you register for or take part in a community tournament on TOGGL3 TV. They are an addendum to, and are incorporated by reference into, the TOGGL3 TV Terms of Service (the “Terms”), as described in Section 13.2 of the Terms. The Community Guidelines and the Privacy Policy also apply. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.

About these terms

A community tournament is a tournament created and run by a creator (the host) on their channel, not by TOGGL3. The host is the MC: they run the event and its broadcast, and they never compete in it. Community tournaments are Unranked: their results do not affect TOGGL3 ratings, XP, levels or any other TOGGL3 competitive standing.

When you register you confirm the three points summarized at the start of Sections 1 to 3. We record your confirmation with the version of these terms and the time.

1. Your feed

In short: The host can see and broadcast my feed. At check-in I get a temporary stream key. My feed goes to the host only, and they may show it in their broadcast.

1.1 Your feed key

If the host uses player feeds, you receive a temporary feed key when you check in. It is shown only to you. Keep it confidential, as you would a stream key (Terms, Section 7.7); you may replace it with a new one from your tournament page.

1.2 Where your feed goes

Your feed goes only to the host’s Control Room. The host sees your feed and its status, such as whether it is being received and its picture size, but never your key. The host may show your feed, including anything in it such as your gameplay, voice or camera, in their broadcast of the tournament on their channel. That broadcast may be open to everyone or only to the host’s channel subscribers.

1.3 What is recorded

TOGGL3 does not publish or record your raw feed. The host’s broadcast, including any part of your feed shown in it, is recorded like any other stream on the host’s channel and kept under the same recording and retention rules. The host may not record, clip, restream or share your raw feed anywhere other than their broadcast; if you believe a host has, report it (Section 4.4).

1.4 Permission to show your feed

You permit the host to show your feed in their broadcast of the tournament, and TOGGL3 to host, transmit and record that broadcast as described in Section 8.3 of the Terms.

1.5 Stopping your feed

You can stop sending your feed at any time, and you can withdraw from the tournament, which stops your feed key. Your key also stops working when you are eliminated, are disqualified or rejected, or when the host revokes it, and in every case when the tournament is completed or cancelled. Stopping or withdrawing does not remove any part of your feed already shown in the broadcast or its recording.

1.6 Your content

You are responsible for what your feed shows. The Terms and the Community Guidelines apply to it.

2. Money

In short: TOGGL3 isn’t handling money. TOGGL3 doesn’t collect entry fees or hold or award prizes. Any arrangement is between me and the host.

2.1 No money through TOGGL3

A community tournament has no entry-fee, prize, prize-pool or bounty feature. TOGGL3 does not collect, hold, refund, award, pay out or guarantee any entry fee, prize, prize pool or bounty, and it does not verify or guarantee anything a host promises. Any arrangement a host offers is solely between you and the host; TOGGL3 is not a party to it and is not responsible for refunds, delivery or disputes about it. No tip, gift, channel subscription or other purchase on TOGGL3 is an entry fee or a contribution to a prize.

2.2 No betting or wagering

You may not bet or wager on the outcome of any match or of the tournament through TOGGL3, including through chat, polls, predictions or channel points.

3. The host’s rules

In short: I’ve read the host’s rules and the host decides results and disputes, with TOGGL3 able to review.

3.1 The host’s rules

The host publishes their rules before registration opens. The rules are written by the host, not TOGGL3, and you agree to follow them. Where the host’s rules conflict with the Terms or the Community Guidelines, the Terms and the Community Guidelines control.

3.2 Results and disputes

The host decides results and disputes under their rules, and every ruling is logged. TOGGL3 may review or overturn a ruling or result, pause or cancel a tournament, or remove a player, but is not obliged to (Terms, Section 15.1).

3.3 The host does not compete

The host, their channel moderators and anyone else helping to run the tournament may not compete in it. If you believe one of them has, report it.

3.4 Fair play

Section 12 of the Terms (Competitive Integrity) applies to every community tournament.

4. Eligibility, subscriptions and reporting

4.1 Eligibility

You must be 18 or older (Terms, Section 1.1), and registering and competing require an active Player Membership. A host may also limit registration, for example to approved applicants or to members of their guild.

4.2 Subscriptions never affect taking part

A channel subscription is never required to register and never buys a better seed, a bye, a rematch or any other edge. Watching the host’s broadcast may require a subscription to the host’s channel; the bracket, entrants and results stay public.

4.3 What others see

Your display name, entrant status and match results appear on the tournament’s public bracket and results. How TOGGL3 handles your information in a community tournament is described in the Privacy Policy.

4.4 Reporting

Anyone can report a community tournament from its page, and a host, player, feed or broadcast through the reporting tools described in Section 10 of the Terms.

5. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as described in Section 22 of the Terms. Each version has a number, and the version you confirmed when you registered is recorded with your registration. A new version applies to registrations made after it is issued.
